Job Description
Overall Scope: The primary responsibility of the Fiber Optic Splicer is to splice fiber optic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings. Responsibilities include reading, creating, and maintaining splicing schematics and diagrams, supporting project timelines, and inspecting projects.
Requirements:
- Experience with Fujikura Splicing Machines (50S, 60S, 70S, 80S, 62S)
- Knowledge of Exfo and JDSU OTDRs
- Power Meters and Light Sources from Exfo and JDSU
Essential Qualifications: Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) or equivalent, Certification in Optical Fiber Transmission and Cable Splicing, Hands-on experience with various fiber optic cables (24, 48, 96, 144 FOC).
