Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous Financial Verification Specialist to examine and audit claims, invoices, and payroll to ensure accuracy, authorization, and adequate supporting documentation.
- Ensure expenditures comply with federal, state, and departmental laws, policies, and procedures.
- Verify correct coding to appropriations, program activities, and funding sources.
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders, confirm receipt of goods/services, and review payroll against source documents.
- Follow up to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial records and logs.
- Provide assistance with complex claims under supervision as required.
