Job Description:
EMS High School is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to oversee the purchasing of goods and services required for school operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all procurement processes are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with the school’s policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock for school supplies.
- Review and analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to assess best value options.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand procurement needs and plan accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and budget constraints.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement management software.
- Prior experience in procurement or purchasing is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
